There’s something magical about early Saturday mornings, especially when they start with good friends, great weather, and a shared love for cycling.

This past Saturday morning, our group met at the foot of Latrun. The air wasn't too hot, the energy high, and our cycling group was ready for another adventure. There’s always something special about starting a ride with such a wonderful group—people who love nature, movement, and good company.
We set out toward the vast sunflower fields, filled with excitement and of course, cameras ready. The flowers were in full bloom—tall, golden, and stretching as far as the eye could see. We took our time there, snapping photos, laughing, and simply enjoying the beauty around us. There’s nothing quite like standing among sunflowers with the morning sun casting a golden glow on everything.
From there, we pedaled on through freshly mown and lush green fields. All along the way, the gentle chirping of larks accompanied us like nature’s own background music. The sounds blended perfectly with the refreshing view of rolling fields and a brilliant blue sky. It felt like riding through a living painting.
Our path led us between vineyards and across the stunning landscapes of the Ayalon Valley, a place where every turn reveals a new, breathtaking view.
Eventually, we arrived at Tel Gezer—an ancient site rich with history, that dates back to the Bronze Age, and was inhabited by various civilizations, including the Canaanites, Israelites, Romans and more. Standing there, overlooking the valley, I felt a deep sense of connection: to the land, to the past, and to the friends who shared the journey with me.

It was more than just a cycling trip. It was a perfect blend of beauty, history, and friendship. And as we headed back, legs a little tired but hearts full, I was already looking forward to the next ride.
